The route winds along mountain paths, dirt tracks, and through small, centuries-old hamlets like A Marcela and Roxica—places steeped in a silence that invites reflection. After descending through pine and oak forests, the walker arrives at the stunning Sobrado Lagoon, a protected habitat for waterfowl. The journey culminates spectacularly in Sobrado dos Monxes, a town dominated by the monumental 12th-century Monastery of Santa María de Sobrado; this Baroque gem offers pilgrims the chance to stay in the historic hostel located within the monastery itself and immerse themselves in centuries of devotion and peace.

Baamonde is graced by the rivers Parga and Ladra, two small watercourses that make this spot an oasis of tranquillity on the Way of St James.
STAGE 13 BAAMONDE - MIRAZ
This stage is very similar to the previous one, passing through solitary yet beautiful landscapes. Meadows and small groves are the dominant features.

This humble village boasts an impressive historical heritage, dominated by the Miraz Tower and the San Paio de Narla Tower.
