Sarria

Sarria

Sarria is the Galician gateway to the French Camino. Here, nature, history and the traditional spirit of the Way of St James come together.

Located in the province of Lugo, it is particularly well known as the most popular starting point for the Camino de Santiago, as it is from here that pilgrims walk the final 100 kilometres required to obtain the Compostela. Sarria is a place steeped in history linked to pilgrims, with an old town that retains a medieval atmosphere, featuring stairways, viewpoints and charming little corners.
